MEET SKYE RAY
Skye Ray is a multimedia journalist and producer. She also works as an assignment assistant for WWL-TV, the CBS affiliate in New Orleans.
In college, Skye was an active contributor for Loyola's award-winning newspaper, “The Maroon”. Skye produced, reported, and anchored on both local and campus news. As a producer and host for The Uptown Howl, an entertainment news program, she increased views by 150%.
Skye has interned for the local NBC affiliate WDSU, and reported live at Mardi Gras parades for NOLA.com and MardiGras.com.
She has also reported for the 2019 NABJ Student Multimedia Projects in Miami, Florida and served as a fellow for the Society of Professional Journalists at the 2019 Excellence in Journalism Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
Skye is the founder and former president of Loyola's NABJ chapter and a member of RTDNA and SPJ.
Her life long passion for journalism started as a teen reporter for WMAR-TV, the ABC affiliate in Baltimore.
Skye Ray is a 2020 CBC-UNC Diversity Fellow.
